Beach, Please! Becomes Europe's Largest Festival

Beach, Please! Becomes the Largest Music Festival in Europe – 2025 Brings Record-Breaking Numbers and Unmatched Production
A dream born in Romania has become a European reality. This year's edition of Beach, Please! marks a historic milestone: it is now officially the largest music festival in Europe, with an estimated total footfall of over 500,000 people over five days.
Held on a 21-hectare site in the heart of Costinești, the 2025 edition of the festival brings unprecedented superlatives: the largest stage ever built in Europe, the most powerful sound system implemented on the continent, and a production comparable to the world's top-tier festivals in the United States. Infrastructure is another standout achievement: 6 hectares of paving, over 500 trees planted, 10 kilometers of underground utility networks, and 45 fire hydrants installed just within the festival grounds – more than in the entire town of Costinești.
“This year, Beach, Please! no longer feels like a festival – it feels like a real city. We’re welcoming over 15,000 international tourists, but more importantly, Romanian youth are experiencing a world-class event right here, at home,” said Selly (Andrei Șelaru), co-founder of Beach, Please!, during the press conference.
Built for the Long Term, Not Just One Summer
Beach, Please! is not a “pop-up” project but a long-term strategic investment in the infrastructure of Costinești. This year alone, organizers have allocated €16 million for event production and another €3 million for developing the site – investments that directly contribute to the economic and urban revitalization of Romania’s Black Sea coast.
Thanks to Beach, Please!, Costinești is becoming a magnet for international tourism and a showcase for local regeneration. Organizers estimate an economic impact exceeding €70 million, benefiting accommodation providers, restaurants, transportation services, and local businesses across the entire region.
Safety, Technology and Community
The 2025 edition places strong emphasis on safety and accessibility: from tripling the number of mobile network antennas and installing free fixed-line phone stations, to four advanced medical points, two mobile hospitals, 100 surveillance cameras, and a central video dispatch center.
The festival is powered by an impressive human force: over 4,500 people are working on site – including organizing teams, volunteers, medical staff, cleaning crews, and security personnel.
A Safe Space for a Often Misunderstood Generation
Selly spoke openly about his generation and the importance of support rather than judgment:
“Last year, we recorded zero reported cases of drug use or alcohol abuse at the medical points. We’re a more responsible generation than we’re often perceived to be. This festival is not about excess – it’s about belonging, expression, safety, and balance.”
Organizers reiterate their zero-tolerance policy on drug use, and are working closely with authorities on prevention and education campaigns.
A Global Cultural Phenomenon with Romanian Roots
Top international artists such as A$AP Rocky, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Lil Baby, and many others are part of a lineup that is transforming Beach, Please! into a global cultural phenomenon. Yet the spirit remains firmly rooted in Romania:
“Beach, Please! is not expanding to other cities or countries. We’re staying right here in Costinești – because we want Romanian youth to have access to world-class experiences at home.”
Beach, Please! 2025 is more than the largest music festival in Europe. It is a declaration of maturity from a new generation and a model for how an entertainment event can generate urban, economic, and cultural impact.
Let’s beach, please!
