Introducing 'The Safe Zone'

BEACH, PLEASE! introduces The Safe Zone – a new model of prevention and psychological support for youth at festivals, in partnership with ANPCDDA and the Caravan with Doctors Association

Costinești, July 7, 2025 – In its fourth edition, the largest music festival in Europe and the only one on the Romanian coast, BEACH, PLEASE!, premieres The Safe Zone project in Romania, a joint initiative of the National Agency for Anti-Drug Policies and Addictions (ANPCDDA) and the Caravan with Doctors Association.

The Safe Zone is an interactive space dedicated to prevention, psychological support, and information, specially created for attendees of major music festivals. The aim of the project is to reduce the risks associated with psychoactive substance use and promote responsible behavior in an accessible, friendly environment adapted to the young public.

"We are glad to partner with ANPCDDA and the Caravan with Doctors, given that the beneficiaries of this project are young people who need information, but also help and empathy. We understand this audience very well, and we believe it is a good omen to address them not with judgment, but with care, patience, and real solutions," said Selly (Andrei Șelaru), co-organizer of Beach, Please!.

Within The Safe Zone, attendees will find:

  • hydration points and prevention resources,
  • information materials on substance use and associated effects,
  • a counseling and psychological first aid space,
  • educational and recreational activities adapted to the language and needs of youth.

The festival brings over 200 artists to the stage from Romania, Europe, and the USA. Public safety is ensured by a major logistical effort.
